Perhaps the worst film I have ever seen. I went to see it on Friday night with some friends and was shocked at the awfulness of it. Was just wondering if anyone had seen it and actually liked it?
Lol. I'm actually tempted to! I didn't actually see a trailer for it - I'd never heard actually heard of it. Just got text message from my friend when I was work asking if I wanted to go and see it. She's usually really good with films so I just let her drag me along. But oh dear... It was embarrassing. Honestly.
Hm. But in fairness, that wasn't the point of it. It was meant to be ridiculous that 23 was everywhere as the point was the guy's paranoia. But it was still terrible. There was this dog right at the beginning and then 13 years later you were supposed to believe that the same dog was there again, looking exactly the same.. The parents dragged the supposedly 12 year old son (who was played by someone who was at least 16) around on this ridiculous chase looking for a murderer all the time and thought this was ok. Then it turns out that the wife is trying to protect the guy from finding out that he is the author of this book and therefore a murderer, yet she was the one that made him read the book in the first place..
I didn't think 23 was the worst movie ever, but it wasn't that great. I think because I expected a lot more, I was let down. And yeah, the 12 year old boy is actually 15...
If you have nothing to add, please don't post. Hmm, but he was brilliant in Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind. I love many of the comedies he has been in, but I enjoyed Eternal Sunshine so much more. That's why I thought I'd give his latest film a try. I don't consider the terribleness of the film to have anything to do with the acting, just a terrible script. Eternal Sunshine, on the other hand, couldn't have been better
Hm. I've seen the previews for this movie and I do still plan on going and seeing it, partially because I'm interested in seeing how Jim handles himself. I still find it difficult to see him in anything but a comediac role. But yeah, as you've probably guessed by now, I haven't seen the movie. Nor have I really heard any bad reviews from people. I am beginning to wonder, though, whether I'm going to be disappointed or not... but then again everyone has different tastes. ... Perhaps I should wait 'til it comes out on video?
I didn't see it because it looked sooooo bad in the preview. I can't bealieve anyone would pay to see that I saw Ghost rider...Another shitty movie but still
The way the advertisements are, to me, are a turn off. It's so stupid how everything "scary" revolves around the number 23.
really? wow i really wanted to see it but why is it so bad? I am reconsidering paying to see it
