The petpet lab seems useless now..

Before a petpet/color change was sorta...common. Now I don't really get anything. Not even levels really. SOMETIMES name changes if i'm lucky...I think they kind of changed things in my opinion. Much like the lab It used to be pretty good back in the days.

 

Uhh.. i don't think they'd change the chances for color change and things like that.. although i don't use the petpet lab often. The regular lab seems like it always was....

 

Not sure if it's psychological but, yeah, I don't really get colour / species changes from the lab anymore, now that you mentioned it o_o

 

hmm..for me it still seems to be the same old --lab/pet lab ..got a strawberry colour change on one of my side today and the last time i zapped my petpet, it changed to a Pfish..

 

Lol yeah, you are right, there never do seem to be petpet changes, although even those are useless unless you get a cool one like krawk or candychan, or if you get an avvie petpet

 

I think both of the ray are equal, mine both don't really do anything exciting,maybe once a month.

 

I've had numerous species changes with the petpet lab - I got a faerie cobrall once ... lately it has been a lot of name changes though, or nothing at all

 

Only real use for the petpet lab is avatar petpets - let's say you attached a Buzzer when you were a newbie or something, and now it's 500 days old. Zap into a Snowbunny and you just got that avatar w/o having to actually age a Snowbunny of your own.

 

I think some of you must just be having some bad luck because I recently purchased both the petpet and lab ray maps and have been using them and getting specie changes somewhat often (along with a lot of pet pet color changes)

 

your all luck you have the petpet lab, i can't find anyone selling them and i don't feeling like collecting piece by piece

it would take like 3 minutes to buy all 9 pieces, and under 10k. I sell my pieces for 500, which is I guess a little low
and as for the lab, I have no real complaints, except right now it keeps minusing. I've had more than a few species/colour changes, but I bought it for the stats anyway

I stopped using it a while ago, but yeah.

But I think that's because I didn't really see the appeal in having expensive painted petpets but with the "zapped by the petpet lab" right underneath it

 

That's the same reason I stopped using it too. XD It completely cheapened the petpet IMO. If I want a nice petpet I'd rather buy the real thing and have a sense of accomplishment. Plus it'd actually have worth/value, ya know?

 

I just got it 2 days ago , and I had change of color and species of the petpet both days o;

 

I don't have the petpet lab (or the regular lab, for that matter), but I agree that the little message under the petpet is annoying. Plus you can't detatch the petpet, right?
Not good...

 

As so many people above have already stated, I don't really find the petpet lab ray very useful; you can't take the petpet off, there's the annoying writing at the bottom, AND the chances of getting a good zap are pretty pathetic.

The only real use it has imo is to hope for a lucky zap for the avatar (eg meowclops)

My absolute dreamy! But not for the avatar, I love the petpet itself... but it'll take me years to save for one, LOL!
