the earth is moving closer and close to the sun, by the time the sun burns out, earth will be so close to it that nothing will be able to survive, earth will most probably be a ball of molten lava by that time. but hey its only a theory, just like most science is, and there is always someone who will challenge it. has anyone heard about the mayan 2012 prophecy? if not, google it....and enjoy...

ah so the first post is the apocalypse style...i personally favour this theory lol...either that or all humans will die out and the world mite eek out an existence just that little bit longer as in my opinion, we are the worst things to have happened to this planet. so yea i think a big nuke or the likes in war will kill off all life forms in the world

I believe this world will ultimetly end at the hands of its inhabitants. Either through nuclear wars or through global warming etc...
when will the world end? or when will human civilization end? I think human civilization will end soon, either through us outstretching our resrouces, ie ancient central american civilizations, or us destroying the earth through nuclear wars, deforestitation, desertification, etc. OR we might just kill ourselves by developing artifical intelligence that gains self sustaining, self awareness. Once that happens, the law nature kicks in and survival of the fittest becomes first priority. Itll be like real life terminator. OR we may even, through genetic engineering, create super-human spieces that will evnetually rise to power when realizing their advantages to " normal" humans. Think of this as the "white supremecy" mindset in the past. The "super-humans" will feel more superior to the regular humans, creating a schism that leads to our extinction and the rise of a new race of "humans" But if you mean the end of the world as in the earth, then prolly through human interference [destroying the environment] or the universe collapsing on itself destorying everything in existance, including earth.
I'm familiar with the mayan phophecy, having been curious about it in the past, and I think it's a pretty fascinating prediction, although I'm a bit skeptical about it's occurance. I don't doubt such a day will come in some form, but I have my reservations about believing whole heartedly in the mayan phophecy.

The World will end in the Sun's supernova, but humans will die much earlier than that due to their own stupidity. =D

i dont think global warming wil end the world, maybe end humans but not the world, since jurrasic the world has experienced many heat and ice ages. still today we are here, so i believe global warming isnt an issue to the world but its inhabitants
Will be a hot topic x) All 'disasters' I can think off will only make it end for the inhabitants, not for earth itself. Not that that makes it any better for us, of course I guess the end off the earth will be when the sun im-/explodes.. We'll be long gone by then, though.

indeed, its only the world that will change as it always has, its not a bad thing, but we take it as beeing bad because we probably wont survie it, but it wont be the end, because some a presence of some sort, could be human, animal or even molecular cells. nithing dies, it changes
