I personally don't own a cell phone so have no clue about phones. I don't know but I am confused why someone would upgrade and pay $200 to get a bigger screen and faster it does not seem $200 worth of new things. What are your thoughts?

I come from a land down under! (Maaaate!)
...They're worth nearly $1,000 here in Australia. $800 for the smaller storage.

Such a rip off. It sounds good in theory, but in a few months they'll re-release it again with something extra.

I'm happy with my Galaxy S2 4G Model. I would upgrade to a Galaxy S3 before an iPhone, they just don't support 4g here in Aus land yet on that model :(

Same deal with it here in the US - Samsung's Exynos processors do not support LTE or HSPA (for T-Mobile) so they have to change the processors usually to Qualcomm. So it takes longer to release and makes a big difference on the performance :|

And Apple's such a ripoff - just wait, Android will evolve so much faster than Apple, with open source (enabling stuff like Cyanogenmod) and IMO a superior developing community, it is only a matter of time before Android phones become the most widely used.

It's just about 1,000$ here too. I'm pretty sure I'm getting it, but it's only because I lost two of the iPhone 4's, so now I had to settle with a 3GS, and that is just not a stable position to be in.They suck

how does it cost $1000 where you live? Here in California, I can get the 3gs for 99 cents with a contract or upgrade... i just got the 4s 2 months ago for $200, which is how much the 5 will be here..

I personally like apple, they are pricy, but make good products. If you ever work inside of an iphone, you'll understand why I love them. Its amazing the way they put them together, so intricate and brilliant.

I like droids open source community, it will benefit them in the long run but I've head many nightmare stories about the reliability of the phone. Only thing I hear about iphones is broken screens.

On the iphone 5, i'm disappointed they got rid of the 30-pin charger thats been used for almost every apple product. It will charging your phone away from home harder, as less people will have it. I like the 4s personally, does what I need and more...

Well I don't understand the whole "upgrade" thing. If you wanna buy the iPhone 5, they put the price at about 1,000$. I can get the 4S for about 850$ or so now, without a contract. A bit more with a contract.
I wish I could get it for just 200$ o_____O

Here, when you have a contract with a cell phone company, you can choose to "upgrade" your phone when you renew your contract for another 2 years. It definitely comes in handy every now and then lol.

Oh, thank you!! Now it makes a bit more sense, lol. A 2 year long contract is a lot though o.o they keep us for 6 months here tops...

Yeah because all the companies here are greedy little *insert word here*.

The thing about a two year contract is: if you want to upgrade your phone in the middle of your contract, you have to either buy your own at retail price or you have to resign another 2 year contract.

Everyone agrees it's not worth it here. But of course people will still flock it and buy it regardless. :/

Might get one though, don't have a smartphone so could be convenient.

I used to work for Vodafone and the same thing happened when the Iphone 4 came out. Everyone flocked for it, pre-ordered then called to complain how crap it was. I see the same thing happening again. First pre-ordering a phone before the 3rd release means your probably going to get problems, there is little difference between the 4 and 5.

I use the 3gs. Has it for years and I'm more then happy to stick with it.

Personally I don't like samsung at all. I've had samsung phones which have always been crap. I'm sure Galaxy is great and ive heard alot of people like it though I just want to make sure I have a phone that will work all the time and when youve had bad experiences its hard to trust again. Apple are no better. They were amazing, Ive said before I'm more than happy with my iphone, I have the 3GS. To me after the 3GS Apple stopped trying to make a better phone. Instead they worked on screen res, camera...same phone with minor updates.

No idea what I will go for next.

Slight improvements from the previous year, the typical apple formula.

S3 is where it's at, though my girlfriend has the iphone 5 on order.

I'm pretty sure the iPhone 3's apps are also available on newer generations...
