So this thing has been bugging me for a few months now. When does a mustache become a beard? It might seem obvious, but it really isn't. Here's why: Mustache Beard As you can see in the, a beard isn't only a beard because it grows on the neck, a mustache can grow all the way down to the neck as well. So what is the difference between a giant mustache and a beard?
a mustache is above the lip, and a beard below the lip.. i think. from http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mustache:
the first one is a mustache connected to a beard. a beard is chin hair. anything below the mouth is considered a beard. the fourth is also both.
Usually. And it states that 'all facial hair would constitute a beard'. But what if you don't grow all facial hair but the mustache and semi-beard, leaving some places out? The second one is very much a mustache connected with a beard as well. In fact, it's from one of those big contests, and it clearly states on the page that the person on the picture entered the 'Mustache' contest. The other category is for beards. And they should really know these things, don't you think? Here's the thing, I can see the difference between a beard and a mustache just as much as the next person. But I'm wondering how the borderline mustaches/beards are to be classified.
