Ok so ive been pretty split on this issue. I liked my iphone well enough and the ipad has some pretty cool apps. My plan was to get a stylus and use it to take notes at school and such. If anybody has it and can give an opinion on it that would be awesome
Honestly. I think it's just a oversized iPhone/I-Pod Touch. And costs way more. It doesn't even have any sort of camera either and the apps are way overpriced compared to the iPhone apps. You should save your money until they go down in price because you know they eventually will. All new electronics are hot and overpriced in the beginning.
I dont own one but my sister does, and I play on it all the time. Its pretty damn awesome, it has alot of cool apps and stuff, but until they come out with the wi-fi one where you can browse the internet (they may have already, im not very up-to-date) it really isnt worth the price difference of an iphone/ipod touch. I mean yea they are bigger and some more apps, but I wanted to punch my sister when she told me she bought it, especially when she just got her iphone 2 months ago. In the end though its really up to you. What I would say is if you have the extra money to get one, go for it by all means, you wont be disappointed. But if your a little hard on cash, or just dont have any extra money, I would say no and just hang on to your money (if this is the case you probably wouldnt buy one anyways most likley xD)
You need to sit down and ask yourself what is the point of you getting one. You gave the reason because of apps and take notes in class. Well you don't NEED to use apps and you BETTER take notes with pencil and paper!
This coming from the person who bashed it so badly when it was first introduced at a press conference. Ohh Billy, you go back on your words super quick
well i'd say try it first in the shop or from a friend. IMHO the cheapest model isn't that expensive if you have an OK job. i'll probably be buying one for the same reason ( to use at school and stuff), but i'm in europe and it will take some months to get here. ( hope it DOES gets here before the end of june, since i'll be in london and they are cheaper there ^^)
If you have an itouch/iphone i'd suggest you to keep it that way and to not buy the ipad... as it is exactly the same thing but bigger If you dont have an itouch/iphone then why not if you have the money? But be sure you'll pay twice the money if you buy it now that you would pay by buying your ipad in one year...
I have an iPhone (3G) myself and I dont see myself buying an iPad...Pretty content with my iPhone (3G) But if you can afford it, I think it'd come in handy in those occasions, but I still think an iPhone is enough.
What happened to the good old days of rotary telephones and telegraph machine and 8 tracks or vinyl records even .. now those were the days *sigh* ok ok so at 32 I can only remember the ass end of 8 tracks and vinyl record days and as a kid the rotary days ... hmmm .. Ipad is a great choice really. It is not that different from the I phone except for its size true. but that size makes a big difference when you are planning to be using it in school . Recent reports show It is blowing Kindle out the water and it does so much more than a kindle, so that was kind of expected. So .. Ipad is my vote
If you already got an iPhone, I see no point in buying an iPad unless you're pretty rich and buying an iPad would be like me buying a chocolate bar xD Either way, I'd wait on a newer version for multitasking at least.
*ignoring the iPhone aspect* lol I totally agree that a newer version should be waited on. As with anything new, it will have bugs and complications missed in its Beta testing. wait for the next set to come out with its little tweaks.
against my better judgement i went out and bought the ipad, and i have to say i absolutely love it. the apps are cool, the webbrowser is nice and it is so goddamn shiny haha
Don't buy one, save your money and buy a notebook instead (300-500 $USD) since you said you wanted to take notes on it. Since you have an iPhone...as do I, you will know the typos and autocorrect will ruin your note taking.
Ah sorry I was on my iphone and you know how that thing scrolls, I miss half the things on the webpage
