Total n00b to programing

    Yeah, that ^ says it all. My first question (probably of many): On the microsoft website, should I be looking at guides for web developers or windows developers or both? It says one is for online apps and one is for windows apps, and I was thinking that neopets programs are kinda a combo of the two. Help much appreciated. :D

    Web developers are people who develop web applications. Web applications are basically programs that run on servers and generate the webpage that you and I see. Now think about, are you writing an program for a server? Nope, you're writing a "client-side" application that communicates with the Neopets server (much like an internet browser).

    Cool thanks guys. I knew I didn't want to design a website, but it was the "web applications" that confused me.
