Inspired by Will's thought-provoking post.... 1) When a blind man uses the toilet, how does he know when he's done wiping? 2) Why is it that a child born to one black parent and one white is always called light-skinned black instead of dark-skinned white? 3) Why is it acceptable - or legal - for 21+ year old male celebrities to "date" other female celebrities under the age of 18?
Years of experience combined with a little guesswork and common sense. Partially because kids with one black parent and one white parent usually do appear to be pale black as opposed to dark white in terms of plain skin colour, but it no doubt has some grounds in the archaic concept that "one drop of black blood makes you 100% black". Because exceptions are made for celebrities and that's just how it is. It isn't fair and it isn't right, but what is these days?
My mind is boggled simply how they can walk down the street or through doorways in a house. Don't get me started on daily activities ;D Generally because they're the offspring of a black father/mother and a white father/mother. When you mix dark brown and white together you get a lighter, but still relatively dark brown. But I'm interested to see at what stage the child would actually be classified as 'white', or 'olive-skinned'. Celebrities will always get exceptions. *cough* Scientology *cough*
they know, they always know......... > why dont they just call them brown-skinned?.. well anyway, probably because they appear to be more black that's slightly lighter. plus, a dark-skinned white usually means over tanned for me. because celebrities do it all the time and if police keep arresting them, we would have no one to watch... maybe when they look as pale as milk...? i dont know, but as long as their natural skin color is tanned to dark it's not considered olive-skinned
All top-notch answers, and I appreciate the feedback/input. At this rate of enlightenment, I'll be one with the universe before my next birthday. So I have another one that hit me.... pet food. Considering that a dog will eat cat turds, pinecones, and dead animals, why are there 150 different flavors of dog food? Chicken, beef, chicken AND beef, beef and liver and turkey are you kidding me?? It seems to me there only need to be two types of dog food. Dry dog food and wet dog food.
I can explain why there are different brands: Quality. The quality of the materials in dog food are everything, nowadays. Many companies cut costs by using ingredients that cause cancer in dogs. One of my previous dogs died of liver cancer from the highest quality dog food - so I guess the extra cost is just minimizing the chance of your dog contracting cancer from the various industrial ingredients. That's the best I can explain it, really.
1. Im pretty sure he can feel that he's done lol + trial and error 2. The black background just stands out more i guess 3. Celebrities always have/get exceptions
