The UK dollar? If you're talking about the value of the US dollar against the British Pound, there's no way the dollar will stay this low for long so all of us in Britain better get our shopping trips to NY booked sharpish . I started working for a group of independent financial advisers about 2 months ago and they were talking about this today so I'm quoting them
I think it will start to drop soon, I have a feeling the US dollar will rise. Thus making the Canadian dollar even worthless.
lmao, i meant uk pound, thanks for pointing that out. i think with all the stuff being imported from china in the us, the dollars going to go down and other countries currencys will go up.
Why is it rising so much? There are some Brazillians at my work who came to the UK because wages are better, I asked them why not go to the US as it's closer to home but they said everyone comes here to work because the pounds so strong!
So if they earn £1000 in a month and send it home that converts to 4000 Brazilian reals, but if the GBP went weaker they send it home they may get lots less reals. the pound has been strong since the day it was taken out of the europian exchange rate mechanism. It makes sense to work here in the UK and send the money home where its worth lots
I hope it keeps rising, then buying things off the internet from America will get cheaper However i don't think it will get much higher than 2 dollars if it rises any more.
