Ultimate Icy Negg Inflation?

So I definitely bought and Ultimate Icy Negg a couple days ago for 14k, and now they've gone up to like 50-60k and even to around 90k? Why is this? People are saying its because they're about to retire? Thoughts?

 

I don't see why they are shooting up , its not like you get anything out of them only 8 neggs points which can be made by cheaper alternatives

Their even days when I didn't know neopets before, zdap/chokato was like 300k..? Idk.
