Okay so I've sit down to write this like 8 times, I'm hoping to get all the way through this time My life's been SUPER busy since I started school. I'm about 7 weeks in, studying Engineering (General first year) at a school (hrrm) in Ontario, Canada. I already did about a month of the program last year, but I had to drop out because of my knee. It got really really really bad, and I had to have surgery. This time around, it's holding up a bit better What am I learning? BALANCE! Screw school. I already know most of the calculus, physics and chemistry we're learning, I took AP courses in highschool (which they don't give me credits for here. Golly jeepers yay!), so I know everything, I just don't remember most of it. I'm not really learning anything new though. However... I'm getting super involved. I ran for a spot as a first year representative for our school's engineering society (first year eng is 900+ people), and I won. So I'm doing that. I'm planning events and stuff like that. I have to book a club for some time in the next month, to do an event. And I have to find a projector for our movie night that's coming up. Fun stuff. I was also elected to my school's student union government, as one of 31 members representing the 20k or so population of our school. I work closely with the Student union prez and VPs. I knew them all already though. The assembly meetings are sometimes 6+ hours, so I have that to look forward to. I'm super connected. I was a leader at this leadership conference in the summer, and I met tons and tons of high-up people in the school. Now I'm with them again, in another student group that promotes school spirit. We had a pancake kegger during homecoming. It was pretty sick. So there's that crap. And schoolwork Midterms (that I'm in the middle of right now) And socializing. And my wonderful girlfriend who I love spending e-time with. And real-time when we can . So balance is key. I've started using google calendar, and today, I bought the google android phone, HTC dream, so I can keep myself organized that way. My main point in writing all of this is to say that I won't really have much time for NF any more, and I'm really really sorry guys. As soon as I find SOME WAY to balance what I've already got going on, I'll add in some NF time I won't really be doing my job as moderator any more, so if you could make me "secret mod" (red ) that'd be awesome. Thanks all! Mikey
Glad to see you're still alive and well! Looks like you're having a blast with all that stuff going on Good luck!! (its not much of a secret if you post it out loud now is it? XD)
wow.. sounds exciting Hally. Its great that you are taking on allot of extra curricular responsibilities. your life is like over 9000 times more busy than my life. lol..
Nice, engineering seems like a fun thing to major in. I majored in music education. Not really as much use for calculus and physics in my degree
Oh nice, you're turning into a SoC Miss talking to ya Hally! Glad things are still good with Rachie {Whom I also haven't seen for soo sooo long}
That's a really busy life. Good to hear you find your balance between all the things you do. Good luck And perhaps we might catch you here when there is more time in a day ^^
