You know the only reasons I refuse to upgrade mine is probably because
    1. I liked setting colors for my windows, not some lousy background.
    2. I had LOTS of tweaks on my MSN, and I mean LOTS. One of the conveniently being the fact I can just click on my DP and it'll open.

HAHA WHAT? Is it "Windows Messenger"?
If so that version stays where it is usually.

I hate when msn obligate us to upgrade. We should choose if we want to upgrade to a new version, or stay with the old one. Cause a lot of times, when you have to upgrade it, it freezes or have some bug...

lol, I couldn't care less xD I sometimes use the lousy old one, because I hate how the new versions still puts my contacts into groups oO those groups I made years ago! (I got my hotmail at 11 years xD).
And I never ever use any features, unless when I ask friend to send me their assignments .. =P which I believe you can do in the old version also :D
oh, and I have diasbled smileys.. msn's smilies suck D:

I think they made this update mandatory because older versions of Messenger may not work with newer versions?

Haha. I only downloaded MSN at the weekend. I had it when I was about 15, but hadn't used it since then. I had to ask my boyfriend to show me how to sign out because I couldn't work it out. And it took me about 10 minutes to find the button to add a contact. I felt like an old woman trying to use an ipod.
