    hello, hello.
so the winter olympics are starting pretty soon.
what do you think of the stuff canada's done?
all i have to say is that the olympic themed canadian clothing is decent, a million times better than the clothing from the beijing olympics (those made me wanna throw up) and the mittens with the maple leafs on the palms are super duper cute.

the medals are just weird. they look like they were melted or something
    [IMG]
and the mascots are weird but extremely cute.
[IMG] "The cute figures are designed to resemble cartoon-like versions of a snowboarding sea bear (Miga), a sasquatch (Quatchi) and a winged “animal spirit” resembling both bear and bird (Sumi)."

and has anyone been to vancouver? i haven't been to vancouver but my dad has and the pictures he took were gorgeous.

the medals look retarded but the clothing is legit
and vancouver is crazy nice especially in winter.. so the olympics will be prime

Yeah, medals are awful. Clothing is okay, red always looks nice.

I think the mascots aren't that nice though, just not as finely done and not really that cute... They try to be cute but the execution just isn't there.

I think the stuff is cool, not really the medals, and I love the Winter Olympics, so I'm looking forward to it.

this is what canada had for the last summer olympics, who the hell wears pants that look like those? and the red shorts are weird.

but i think that the clothing is just overwhelming when you're decked out completely from head to toe in the garb (hehe) but the red and white hoodie by itself with like jeans or something is cute.

also, the mascots look marginally better as drawings/cartoons

I'm excited for hockey too. :)
Especially cause canada lost at the junior worlds to the states. That was upsetting. Great game though.

I live in Surrey BC... about 40 mins from Vancouver. its pretty sweet that the world is coming to see us.

Also... I am currently working in the security field for various companies involved in the Olympics.

I have been confirmed to work on some of the hockey events.. so i basically will get paid to watch hockey lol..

Hockey is all i care about in the winter Olympics.

    Canadia BC eh?
I had to move away from vancouver about a year ago, cause
the cost of living just became unbearable, plus my house sold
literally the next day to some guy that came from germany.

I'm pumped for canada getting olympics, even though I'm nowhere near the canadian standard as far as enjoyment of hockey
I'm still waiting for awesome canadian olympic music though. I'd feel bad if china beat us that bad
and my favourite events are the luge, bobsleigh and skeleton events. those are action packed
