Volleyball players?

I was just wondering how many people on this forum are into volleyball..
Does anyone here play at a high level? Which do you prefer, beach or indoor?
Beach season just starting up now =) I'm excited haha. I've got my first tournament in 2 weeks, june 6th. Gonna be a blast, can't wait to finally get on the beach again.

Something I HATE though, is the amount of people that say volleyball is a girl's sport. I'd like to see someone get hit in the face with a ball going 150 mph and call it a girl's sport. =D

And to basketball/volleyball/soccer/whatever sport you play players, what's your vertical? (Include height and weight and age too if possible)
I'm 16, 5'9", 145lbs, 35" vertical... I like my high jumping skills =D

I'm into volleyball but only recreation.
Play at the park with friends to keep in touch.
Can't jump nor run in the sand

 

Volleyball is fun, but I only play it recreationally.

And I think volleyball gets its reputation as a girls' sport due to the fact that people would much rather watch girls' volleyball than mens'. Just saying .

 

I was on the volleyball team 6th-8th grade, but when high school came along I couldn't do it any longer because my spine is a bit messed up and it kept bruising my back. And though school is out, next year in gym about half a semester will be spent playing sand volleyball so I'm looking forward to it.

 

Just got home from some park volleyball.
Lost every single game today but sure was fun.

 

Ohh, I am IN LOVE with volleyball, I play indoors though. In sand, I am very slow it's hysterical! I don't play at a very high level thoughh... xD

 

I'm currently not playing in a team ; but I enjoy playing beach volleyball with some friends.

I don't know how to play recreationally. I only play to win... Which is why I can't just play for fun... Lol.

 

I used to play a lot!!~ I played club for about 5 years and I was pretty good. but i'm really short ..
I quit this year, but Im planning to play in the city's summer grass tournament with a guy friend.

What position do you play? I'm a setter

 

Power/libero. I could have been a setter if I trained to be one early on lol. I've got good hands and I'm quick. I'm only 5'9", but I have a 35" vertical =)
