I received this email on my actual email address:

    Greetings!

A request was made to retrieve the usernames associated with this email address. Since you asked so nicely, here they are:

    Username: user1
    Password: pw1

    Username: user2
    Password: pw2

    Username: user3
    Password: pw3

    Username: user4
    Password: pw4

You can use any one of the these usernames to log in to Neopets here:
    http://www.neopets.com/loginpage.phtml</a>

    See you in Neopia!

I didn't make this request, and haven't been on those accounts in, quite possibly, over a year. Should I be worried that someone has access to my email? If so, I imagine I should change my email password, but is there anything else about my email that I should change (security questions, etc)?

Might have been a bot that just ran through a list of emails.

yeah you should change everything and even make a new email account and change your email.

there is allot of the unregistered email method around lately. where they actually obtain purged hotmail, gmail and yahoo accounts then sign up and request neopets user and passwords.

I recently have changed all my accounts(sooo many) just to be safe.

I got several of these emails too and I was wondering the same thing! Guess I'll just take the advice that was posted here and change everything.
Is it more likely that this means that my neopets account was hacked or that my email was?

I occasionally get these emails as well. I've noticed that whenever I request a password or username to be sent to my email address because I forgot them, it is never sent immediately and I always end up getting the email weeks sometimes months later.

Its just probably someone running email lists on the "Request password" thingy on neo. I don't bother changing anything when I get one of these, I don't think anyone can access my email.

Good sign of someone either trying to get into your accounts or cracked your email account , Goodluck and stay safe , I'd suggest changing passwords on everything including your email account

In other words, you're safe :p

Edit: Although you had good intentions, you basically posted a "How To Crack Neopets Accounts" guide. - BobaFett
