I can't sleep. So... I don't know what to do. I tried to exhaust myself by doing physical stuff (I do physical labour work as well as going for a run and all that fun stuff) but that didn't work. I just felt sick.
Someone should stay up with me :c

    tl;dr can't sleep wat do

I'm sure I do have a record but I'm not sure what it is. I finally did fall asleep, I think around the 40-41 hour mark. >.<

Wow, how can you possibly not sleep for that long. I have a record for the longest sleep (23 hours), but no-sleep :O.

Trust me, I'd rather just sleep. I hate not being able to sleep ever :c This happens like, every day. I normally fall asleep around 6-7am oops.

Very true, but why do you sleep so late? Maybe you need sleeping pills :|.

Waking up from 23 hours of sleep wasn't fun though, your head hurts like shit and you're so hungry you could eat a horse.

I probably do need sleeping pills or something. I sleep late because I can't sleep. I don't try to. I'll try to go to bed at a normal time (as accepted by society or some shit) and then I'll just be awake for hours. As soon as I close my eyes I wake up, no matter how tired I am. I'll feel like I'm gonna pass out and then OOPS NOPE I'M AWAKE AGAIN. I've slept for many many hours before as well. Lots of times. I've had a bunch of days where I just stay in bed all day. No computer, no nothing, just eventually waking up a little bit then going back to sleep. Where I wake up, get up, and start my day at like, 10pm lmfao. Oh well. I'll survive. I'll just get a nightshift job.

Looked up dealing with insomnia? I believe Stephen King's novel of the same name is a good guide to how to deal with it. Psychic karate chops and all.

But seriously, it sounds like it's having a large impact on your life. Perhaps it's time to get help from somebody who knows about this.

Oof! I have the same problem, but rarely as bad as you. Insomnia sucks. Medication is the only thing that helps me.

LOL 23 hours!! I stay up for a minimum of 34 hours every 6 weeks... Sometimes, stay up to the 40 mark if I go out. Thats what I do at the end of a night shift when I finish at 7am.. stay up until the next night to get back into normal times. If I go out to a party or something, may not go to bed until 3 or 4 am the next night... It's not easy... but you definitely get used to it.

If only I got 9 hours every night... I would have way too much energy to handle xD

@Junior: Try staying up for your 40 hours when you AREN'T doing something. Stay in bed and see how long it is before you sleep.

@Commy: I see my doctor every 2-4 weeks. He put me on meds for anxiety/depression and so I let him know what's up with everything (sleeping, mood, appetite, all that fun stuff etc). I dunno. I try to tire myself out physically but as soon as I lay in bed I'm wide awake, no matter how tired I was before.

@Phee: Yep it sucks. Bleh :c

@Everyone: Lmfao I'm posting this at 7:44 am, of course after not sleeping all night. I guess the plus side is that I get more hours to do something awesome? If I have to sleep 8 hours a night, and I just, don't... That's a third more of the day I have to do stuff and maybe I'll solve some world issue or something yay
