I am just interested in seeing what most people use!!!

Do you use an antivirus package in the first place??Do you use a separate firewall??

Which antivirus package do you recommend??Why??

i using nod32 which had a build in firewall.
I recommend kaspersky or nod32 more accurate scanning (less sensitive) and wont eat up too much memory

I use McAfee Security Suite because Norton sucks *cough*
Idk why I started using it, I guess because my dad had always used it and it's pretty good. It has it's own firewall aside the standard one that comes with windows.

Ack, I use Norton, and it has been serving me well! D:

Care to elaborate on why you think Norton stinks? .-.

I use to use the free AVG, but now they are making you pay for it and really its not that good. I prefer McAfee over Norton, it seems to be a little more manageable to use and a lot less touchie.

I'm using Norton Internet Security 2010.. Never had a problem with it..

I used to use Avast AntiVirus which is a free one.. Which is also very good.

I use Avast, it's always worked very well for me. Keeps the virus out and it's free.

Firstly,I like to try a range of software before settling down with which I had less/no problems...

Secondly Norton was not performing up to the mark for me(Found better antivirus which was less heavy on system resources)..

Used a separate uninstaller to remove registry keys and files that were left behind!!

They aren't making you pay for AVG at all. The link to the free version of 9.0 is just a lot smaller than everything else. You just have to look properly =P

And yes, I use AVG. Have never had any problems. I also run Adaware and Spybot Search & Destroy a couple of times a week.

Recently caught a browser virus kasperky and spyware doctor couldn't remove. I couldn't even check my gmail. I was about to format my comp until I ran into Makwarebytes. It removed everything.

2010 Internet security yeah its up to date. Once the key gets blocked I just go get another one. I got when I turned off the scanner in order to burn a game. But I forgot to turn it back on :( . But I finally got rid of with Makwarebytes. Kasperky and spyware doctor could get rid of it.
