Was listening to music earlier with my friend and we got into chatting about what we listen to and when, I think I found break up songs the most interesting so share ^^ Rain on Your Parade - Duffy You Know That I'm No Good - Amy Winehouse (The whole of Back to Black really xD) Black & Gold - Sam Sparro (No clue why...) Nina Simone And the classic... Kate Nash - Foundations I have good taste in depressing tunes I don't go all Bridget Jones xD
Why Don't You Get a Job by the Offspring. I always love listening to this song and it makes me crack up every time.
You're so gay - Katy Perry (jk jk) Uhmmm I hate Everything About You - Three Days Grace Anything Coldplay, expecially "Fix You" Simple Plan - I'm Just a Kid
Umm one of the newest Kayne songs -can't remember the name- Something about memories made in the coldest winters.
If I ever needed it, I'd want Good Will Hunting By Myself - Ludo. <-----LISTEN TO THIS SONG! Sorry for all caps, but it is quite possibly the best break-up song EVER. And Kate Nash? She has absolutely.............scintillating lyrics. [...]
I have to say that that is an awesome song. And now I have to try to think of something productive to say to use this post well, so all of you are going to be treated to another one of my delightful opinions. Personally, I have never needed one either, so maybe I'm a crap person to ask. But since it's possible that I know everything (relax, kids, it's only a joke), then it's probable that I'm right. Music is a way of expression, and really, no matter how well a song expresses what you feel, the best breakup song is the one you write yourself. I don't mean, necessarily, that you sit down and put a pen to paper, rock out hard to some sick, poppy tune and make millions off of your loss, I mean the mosic of your life. Everything that you do has a musical signature - that's why music resonates so strongly in all of us: I can't think of a single person that I know who hates music (and if you do, please let me live in blissful ignorance) because one way or another, we feel it. Whether you write your song in mascara stains on a pillow, lacerations on a brilliantly purple set of knuckles knocked about a bit by contact with a brick wall or simply a longing for his smile, it's your song. It's all you need to get through. It can't truly be captured in someone else's words, but if a pretty ditty can help you, then by all means, go for it.
