If I really need anything badly, I torrent. Otherwise, I direct download. But I don't do that at all now.
The only downloading I ever do is off rapidshare, and i use Firefox extension Flashgot in combination with Flashget to highlight all the links i need, and keep my downloads going smoothly. I get 800kb/s. That's my internet connection. *satisfied*
I've used Kazaa and BearShare as well as BitTorrent and Peergaurdian. I prefer Limewire over them all.
That's actually what I got from the description off lifehacker - still looks like an interesting alternative though. I like the CoolIris feature and I might add it on my Firefox.
i use LimeWire, DAP and Azureus Vuze. btw, i used to have the cooliris extension. i got annoyed with it since everytime i clicked a picture i would accidentally click the cooliris icon and it would activate.
