the neoschool idea...did they jus get bored of thinkin bout how to go round it or wot?

 

I have no clue. I remember when I bought a butload of items neoschool related because I thought it was gonna come out soon.

Still waiting....

 

I believe Neopets made a statement that it was put off indefinitely, they refused to provide a reason for it though.

 

Yeah, it has been delayed indefinitely. They didn't give a reason, but merely said it was for "reasons that cannot be discussed." Very lame. I was excited for it.

i think it was because tnt couldnt find a way to make it work. the main neoschool page mentions "exams", but it would obviously be the account owner who did the questions, not the pets themselves.. so it would be unfair as there are players of all ages.

 

ye i guess...they cld hav at least made the questions in the exam age specific or somethin tho....aw well

 

lol. a LOT of people lie about their age during registration.

and those older ones could create young accounts, thus getting prizes unfairly
theres really no way to tell a person's age for sure, i think thats the main difficulty in implementing this

 

Well you could always use the Neoschool items for the packrat avatar if you haven't got it.

 

neoschool items are far too expensive to be used for packrat

wonder where the items go though? do faeries ask for them? i cant remember any faerie asking for a neoschool item.. except for space faerie..
but all those neoschool stuff stocking in main shops HAS to go somewhere....

I really wish they'd reconsider and release the neoschools. Making age specific exams would surely be ok as I didn't think there were going to be prizes available anyway. I thought it was just going to be trophies in which case, they could specify what age group you had taken the exams in anyway.

I really think it would be great for the site and I can't see why they made such a fuss about it, building it up, only to suddenly change their minds. I mean, it must have been discussed for quite some time before the idea was announced. What could have changed to make it suddenly unworkable and why can't they discuss it?

It would be so kewl if the neoschool was still on board i would get to put my neopets in neoschool! But it might be expensive because all the things you have to buy from the neoschool shop *sigh* !

 

Neoschool is a prank by TNT. They've been "working" on neoschool since 2001, and it is now 2007.

 

Really? I think that's about when I stopped playing the first time, and I don't remember hearing about it. I think it was more 2002ish.

 

Not a prank In 2003 they announced that it was postponed.

That entire shop as an entitiy is wholly useless. It's just a front for TNT to take Neopoints out of the economy.

 

of course, if neoschools were released, imagine the MASS INFLATION of neoschool items.. not gonna be a pretty sight.. lol
