I coded my lookup awhile ago and now position & display is banned, apparently it messed up almost every other premade lookups and people are not going to consider fixing it. They're being too anal. The only places people hide footers/headers and whatever else is their lookup, they can fxcking look at it anywhere else, so why even bother banning codes like this just because people are hiding it on their lookups to make things look nicer. It's kind of ridiculous in my opinion, almsot everyone used to have some pretty lookups and now they're so nazi about coding no one even cares to code it anymore. Sigh..I don't care if people don't exactly see eye to eye with me on this, but being a coder/graphics maker I just don't like seeing this junk. Thinking about the freedom from TNT back then, as to freedom now, it's completely different things.
Well, Sunnyneo says "Some commands are still not working: position, visibility, display, margin, and opacity.", so I'm guessing that implies that those commands *should* be restored. It's annoying, though, I agree - I hate having the header/footer show up on my lookup. Well, header is ok if it's covered by some nicer graphics, but I really dislike the footers. BTW. nice name change. XD
When I was changing my lookup page I had to take out 'display' and 'margin' but they didn't actually affect it..which was strange. Wish neopets would go back to how it used to be five years ago. So much better, but I'm still here so..
This is from the most recent Neopian Times Editorial. " Q: *sets down a fish feast* Alright guys, let's get our food buffs before this encounter. So the filters were "glitchy" this weekend - glad they seem to be "fixed," for the most part. But I have to ask, of course (and I'm sure I'm not the only one): are these "newly" blocked properties going to be disallowed for good? I am aware that these elements were "blocked" before, and that all of us clever Neopians managed to get our codes through by simply altering our style tags. However position, display, margin, visibility (just to name a few)... they're all pretty key elements when it comes to personalizing the look of one's account. So, for the sake of clarification, I suppose I should state that my question is: will there be some change in the future that allows us to use these tags on our Petpages and Lookups (at the very least), or is this a permanent setup? Also, if possible, it would be lovely to know (specifically) why these filters have been put in place to begin with. c: Thanks if you get back to me on this! (For the Horde! *scurries off*) ~l3lo0 A: We are aware of these issues and have our programmers working on them, but don't really have much coherent information to offer at the moment. We will try to keep you updated with information if we can, though. " Thoughts? I think it will get fixed within a few weeks.
