I've been looking at topics about autobuyers and they all say you need different IP addresses or proxys, I only have one computer but want to use an auto buyer but before I get one I would like to know how to, and whether I can, use a proxy. I've googled to no avail and hope for help here
Before you decide to use a proxy check whether you have a static or dynamic ip... If you switch off your router(for some time->overnight) and then switch it again and if the ip changes you have a dynamic ip...Then you can reconnect whenever you want a new ip(when you are going to autobuy)..clear your cookies before you change accounts.. Else you have to use proxy..using a proxy is very easy but finding one that works is not...Most proxies are just too slow to work with...And even if you find one there is a good chance that someone else is using the same one.. You can find free proxies here->http://proxy-list.org/en/index.php You can pay for a proxies which gives you proxies that are much more faster than free ones.. If you have a proxy that works then you can apply it in your browser or program..In firefox goto tools->options..->go to networks tab->click settings(configure how firefox connects to internet)->manual proxy configuration->enter your proxy->click ok. If a program supports proxy option...you can use it as well.. You are set to browse with your proxy...Hope it helped!!
Ack I don't understand computer talk xD I don't know what kind of IP I have, if I have dynamic but use a proxy anyway does it matter?
Thank you and one more question xD, do different browsers have different IPs or is that part of the computer?
IPs are given to you by your internet service provider (ISP). If you have more than one internet source, then you have more than one IP. Other than that, no, you can only get a new IP by unplugging, or if you have a router, go to 192.168.2.1 (usually). Then, you have to clone your MAC address...
Even if you have a router, you can only change your IP via unplugging/turning off. Your router's IP address is usually 192.168.1.1, not *.*.2.1 Oh, and here's a great proxy guide: tech-guides-f94/proxies-a-newbies-guide-t4263.html
Yeah, I meant 1.1 - mine is 2.1 And no, mine doesn't work like that. Even if I unplug for the rest of my life, it won't change. Mine changes only if you clone the MAC
Thanks I'll take a look at thhe guide now, I also thought of yet another question (sorry about this) can two people use the same proxy?
Im going fricking CRAZY trying to find good proxies to work with AU. Its so damn insane how sh1tty and slow the public proxies are. F***in spammers.
Same! I read the guide and have tried all the links, I found one that I thought was good but it didn't work on neopets!
They worked for about 6 hours then they are just like the rest of the public proxies. Im considering buying a subscription. Do you know if its true if all you have to do is use the proxy to login? Then its ok to use your direct line once your logged into AU?
