I have noticed there are more and more people joining is this due to a "leak" who knows, but i am growin more concerned when i see the likes of sean425 (no offence just the only name i can remember out of the list) has hundreds of posts in less than a day or 2 and i have been here abou 4 days longer and have half the posts also sean425 a level one in 2 days how does this happen wthout anybosy seeing it. WHAT DO YOU THINK?
I don't know, it causes me some suspicions, but maybe he/she is really posting hundreds of posts a day...albeit it took me longer than that to reach where I am.
I found this site by doing a search for abers. Thats how some of them are probably finding the site. And the silly thing is I had never heard of abers until I seen someone gripping about them on the rsing board on neopets
but still drago take a look at these stats Joined: 12 Jan 2007 Last Visit: Hidden Total posts: 163 [0.37% of total / 81.50 posts per day] Find all posts by sean425 Gender: Male Location: Website: Occupation: Interests: Points: 16 Programs: View programs Reputation: WTF 81 posts per day he is jut here to take programs i would also keep a eye on these people as i think some of them my be lnked to TNT which would hurt everyones accounts in here.
Yeah he is posting quite a bit, but that's how I started out too, it's much easier to post when you first join because of the many various topics there are. After that, it slows down because you can't just constantly post on the old topics anymore because you've already posted on them.
Maybe you could edit your post and take out the username of the person you are talking about? Some people are just more talkative than others. And let's be honest, most of us here joined because we liked the sounds of the programmes. But you get to know people and you find out how useful it is having a community where you can say whatever the hell you like about neopets and it's all fine (unlike those annoying 'goody goody' sites that are everywhere). You become attached to the site and the community, but that isn't instant. First and foremost, people are here for the programmes. As long as they don't make a big mess up of the boards or cause any trouble, we shouldn't complain
If you see obvious spam , then report it. But if they are just chatting and contributing to the community fair enough. Being honest, we are all working toward being able to get the programs, and aslong as they are contributing good conversation , i dont see it being a problem.
A lot of those posts were gravedigging and really short responses at that. It's not a comfortable situation. I post a lot, too, but I'm long-winded and when I post, it's usually a few sentences long, at the LEAST! Sometimes it's an epic tale. =p But I did a google for NP for SALE and Buying NP and found this site.
yup, i got to level one in 3days. and he is not spamming at all, he is just replying to everything. but soon enough he will slow down
I think (not to be mean) that instead of companing about other people, just worry about yourself and post more...offer help and good explanations....take part in the posts and read things and do a little work...good things come
If he is contributing then who are you to pass judgment? Ctm_91 seems to have posted a bunch, but from what I've seen he has posted nothing but quality, I have around 60 posts in 3 days, not many are spam. And as a person here for a little over a week, how can you say you have seen the problem grow and grow?
Maybe the person in question joined the site in order to be active and learn things, as I did. There is more to this site than the programs!
i joined unknowing of a leak i still dont know what happened well i dont post like 40 times a day only about like 15 so.... =)
Agreed! I've already learned a lot (Not that I knew much about Neopets >.>) it IS a really nice website. But I don't think you should be blaming the people who join for the programs too much, maybe I was just given an impression, but it seems to be kind of encouraged. o_o; "Post, you get points, with points, you get downloads." It's not a bad thing, and I also agree that people who spams 2 words posts all around the place should be punished. But whenever you've reached 300 points, I'm sure you're already attached to the community, and that you stay around, so it's a really good way to attract members too.
I like the advice given out and getting to truly hear what people think about neopets, the programmes are just a bonus, its the members that count! If he's making decent posts then thats okay, but he will soon run out of topics to contribute to.
