Including the 6 and 7 year old noobs. It occured to me when I lurked the BD chat that a lot of people who go on the boards seem to either have knowledge of cheating or seem like they might cheat. What % if players in total do you think cheat? Including scammers, hackers, noobs with sob stories as well as program users.
At least 25% xD A lot of cheaters you never see because while they are on the highscore boards, they don't post on the neoboards so you don't see them unless you look.
Well, like the person above me sayd. atleast there are more people cheating then TNT wants there to be lol.
I would have to say anywhere from 25-35% there are LOTS, and LOTS of cheaters we never see, they are good at it so we never expect them. Im sure some of the people on the BD chat who are popular have either cheated before, or are still currently cheating. Same for the T/A chat.
Depends what you're considering. Active or inactive players? Accounts or actual people? For active players I'd say around 5% max. More than that it's just unrealistic, lulz. Srsly. There's plenty of people joining everyday, people who don't post or aren't seen anywhere unless you search their names up, people from all around the world, people who barely know how to use a computer. For active+inactive, I'd say like 0.1%
I dunno .. they have alot of active old accounts. but i wouldnt say more than 10 - 15 percent are cheaters.
I am gonna go and say out of people who are at least decent, 40-50% Look at the high scores on games, you see a lot of people that are pretty questionable lol
well I know on my frozen account i scored a very questionable score but that is because i accidently found a hidden easter egg for multiple extra lives .. but yah i know what you mean
As a percentage of players online at any point. 40% as a percentage of unique players. 15% give or take a few points
lol, i feel that kinda like 50% of the active accounts cheat (non-unique) unique users who cheat should be around 40-45%.. seriously, there are tons of games scores that just seems impossible (ok, i ain't great at those games but hey, isn't some high scores just really impossible to get?)
Depends how you define cheating. Some people say only "hardcore" programs like SSers and ABers count as cheating, some people think GM scripts count as cheating as well. But I'd say cheating is on the increase
Is Blitzkrieg really the only one with a good head on their shoulders here? Seriously, some of these numbers you guys are spouting are absurdly high. I hope you are all either joking or posting while impaired.
Same thing I am thinking. Say in a week you have 1million different people log on to neopets (no way to actually know how many for sure) and you guys are putting out numbers like 250,000 and up that cheat. The way I see it mostly kids play neopets (except for us older folks who play it for other reasons) and it's the older lot who actually cheat rather than spend most of their time playing the games or spending hours each night to restock. I say maybe 50,000 out of a million cheat probably even less than that.
Depends on your definition of cheating i think ... cheating per neopets terms and conditions means more than 5 accounts no games on any except your main. no getting anyone to help you get avvies trophies or anything .. add that in there and i think it brings it up to 10-15 percent ... of course there is no real way to tell for sure I could be as wrong as tiger woods was
No way, not even close The majority of younger girls (the main demographic of the site, as I understand) are not going to be multi-ing and stuff
In my experience. Little kids get family to help them earn trophies. It is how I got into the game. My then 10 year old sister wanted an avvie and had me get it for her and alot of her friends that played had her bugging me to get stuff to help them out too .. now given this is just one social slice of the demographics from 8 years ago. But that is the basis for my belief but just as that is my basis .. you basis and belief could be right on the money
lol, i agree with you! i have a friend, and most of her trophies and game avvies were gotten by her mom.
