So yeah, before Spring Break I called in with a "sick grandpa dying in Toronto" thing to get out of work cuz they made the schedule already {horrible I know} and I deliberately told them I might not be back till mid April but if I come back any earlier I will call before the week's schedule is made to let them know i'm back. But the thing is, my parents told me that McDonald's called a left a message saying I had work @ 3PM some day last week. It's not my fucking fault right? I told them I wasn't guna be back -_-

I'm quitting and everything but still, they probably thought "Bitch not showing up for work"

OMG! You bitch not showing up for work!

LOL.. Did you use that letter you showed us? That was a good one :p

Honestly, if you've given them the notice and they've made the mistake. Not your problem....

We will still love you :p Just don't use them as a reference for the next job ;)

Junior that's the only job i've had :p So they ARE my only references.
Except some volunteer jobs but I only volunteered for a day or something.
I am hoping to volunteer at the SPCA shelter during summer...
I printed off the letter, dropping off the next time I visit McDonald's.

Well even though you lied, if you told them that, and they said okay, then it's not your fault. Just try to play nice for the time you're still there so you can use them as a reference...

Oh... In that case tread lightly.. You want to notify them of the mistake etc. etc. Worst thing to do is leave a job on a bad ntoe and then use them as a reference. Because they'll only remember you based on the last impression >:)

Which in this case would be unreliable and irresponsible. (Which is not true!!!)

Well I called this morning to let them know i'm back. I talked to the head manager of the place and asked her to put me back on the schedule for next week and she didn't ask me anything about why I didn't go to work last week at all. I'm sure she'd be the first person to be notified if someone doesn't show up for work, and probably be the first person who WANTS to ask me about it as soon as they contacted me.

Might be a trap.. They'll make you think its all good.. then when you go to work, trap you in their little office and be mean!

    XD

Or it means its all good and you're worrying for nothing :D

I tend to do that. I like to overthink and dig out all the worst possibilities so i'm prepared for it. To be honest I really don't care for that job :p I just want to leave on a good note.

They may have made a mistake... and instead of calling you back and bothering you during a time when you are still grieving the loss of a loved one.. just hoped you didn't go in so they could ignore it >:)

In short, YOU WILL BE FINE. YOU ARE MEGA AWESOME!!!

Psh the people at McDonald's don't think so :p
My McDonald's kinda look down on the lower ranked people..even though i'm smarter than most of the people there. I'm not even trying to brag. I actually am..cuz most of them are like Year 10-11 kids. The people who are older are usually the higher ups and they are either the managers or assistant managers, etc.
But half the time they disregard who you are as a person outside work and pick on you because you're "low ranked" at work.
It's true. You don't even want to hear my stories. It's horrid.
