For some reason, Firefox has stopped working for me on this computer. Every 10 minutes or so, it crashes. Which is no friggin fun, because I love it. So I'm looking for a new browser. I'm on Google Chrome right now, I really like the interface. Unfortunately, it doesn't have a lot of features I want. Apparently there IS a way to install greasemonkey, so I'm going to check that out. So I'm just looking to see what everyone else uses. Please post your reasons why you use the browser that you do, no point in just posting the browser name, I'll probably warn you for posting a one-liner, especially since you didn't read this warning here! Thanks
i use forefox version 2 main reasons are because i used aol (lol) and no flash things worked on it so switched to ff as it was on my pc and popular. And now i use it for adons such as gm and script monkey for security. Overall i like the interface and the fact that there are loads of adons etc
Firefox ftw. Tried Chrome the other time but just couldn't get used to it. Firefox's interface is still friendlier IMO.
I use firefox because of the useful add-ons like greasemonkey, tamperdata, refcontrol etc... And the interface is really good as well, tabs are easy to manage, I think it's just superior to IE
I use FF normally. Faster, plus I like the Ctrl + F find function better and it's faster with better interface functions IMO.
Firefox 3 is simply the best. <Reasons> :With all the add-ons & fast browse & security issues & increasing participation of coders , no other choices nowadays can replace it. The image below is from 500 users average : However, if you must use another web browsers, I recommend you wait for Internet Explorer 8 RC or higher release version.(It's currently beta 2) <Reasons>This one is trying hard to increase the safety, speed of browse. Though version 7 is mediocre, version 8 worths at least some expectation. Operais also a decent choice, but the browsing compatibility with IE-only site is not as good as you think.
FIYAH FOX! I do have Chrome and Opera(sp?) but I just use them for a different set of cookies. And I had the same crashing problem on my old computer, never did find solution *shrug* :\.
i use fiefox, for me, i found it easier to code CSS and HTML, with the add-ons and all... FF is more flexible than IE in term of that...
IE7 is what I use.. The only thing I missed when I used IE6 was the tabs, which was solved in IE7. I tried firefox, but I just couldn't get used to the lay-out.. That's when I got back to IE, which is good enough for me And next to every site works with IE
im not so sure about the true reason responsible for your FF crashes, but you can somehow diagnose it by yourself by following this link : http://kb.mozillazine.org/Standard_diagnostic_(Firefox) below is also a trouble-shooting knowledge base : http://kb.mozillazine.org/Firefox_crashes
Firefox is like the only good browser that I like. Internet Explorer is an option, but I don't like it. I'm planning on getting Google Chrome, but I don't know yet.
I love firefox. I like the interface and I am just very used to it. It seems a lot quicker than IE to me too. Like others said, I also like the ctrl+F feature. I've tried Safari and just couldn't get used to it. It also seemed slower than firefox and internet speed is something I value. I had Opera before my hard drive crashed, but I can't remember if I liked it or not. I think I used it once and just forgot about it.
