    You have important files ,folders ,important written in notepad save in your PC.

    And suddenly your computer going crazy and shut down.. and it is broken.
    You have to buy a new PC...

    so what will you do? your very important files has been lost.

    well for me if thats happen.. GG all multiple accounts ..because i save the account in the notepad specialy the new email addresses . and maybe rebuilding again..

    I would totally "donate" it and make it look all nice and stuff.

    Ack, that would suck! I would probably cry. Yeah, I'm addicted. :p And then I would complain if my dad couldn't fix it.

    Twice happened, lost all sorts.

    now simply £30 2gig USB pen drive. anything important = saved :)

    Easy enough and can use things elsewhere

    Sob and then realize that I didn't have any important files on my computer, and that the only semi-important stuff I have is on my usb memory stick :p

    I would boot on a different hdd, transfer all the files to the new hard drive and there you go, you have all your files back

    Actually, that has happened to me. There was something wrong with my hardware and it just broke. People told me to just get over it. :cry:

    mine... just save to USB
    and if my computer gones mad..and all files has been lost,,
    its already save in USB.. no prob.

    Hmmm, I had this sort of problem with my old PC, I just lost a bunch of unique pass codes and cracks, oh also some photoshop files :(.

    I was upset...

    That's why you need multiple backup copies. I suppose that is the golden rule.

    If you had some money and wanted to invest it in your computer, it would be nice to get a RAID 5 system next time :). You would get some nice speed boosts as well.

    I would scream as I don't have all my University work saved elsewhere. Maybe I should invest in a USB memory stick.
