Okay, so I figured out how to get Firefox 2 to change my IP address. My concern is this: I went to whatismyipaddress.com and it gave me this message:
Nothing else, just that message. So, what exactly does that mean? Can I assume it's safe to create shell accounts with that IP address?

I think ive seen that message before when i used a proxy site site, like HelloYo. I have no idea what it means, but the network/IP your using is blocking that SITE?

It just means that the proxy you are using doesn't allow you to go to that site =/

You are using a proxy from CoDeen...they suck so look for another one. You most likely can't create accounts with a CoDeen proxy.

Yeah MC's right. I get really frustrated with CoDeen because they're all very fast and they make me think I've found an anonymous proxy with almost no timeout, but then I try to go to any site other than google (my homepage) and it doesn't allow me to. After many times going through proxy lists and trying them out, I've found that most CoDeen proxies use the 3124(7, 8, etc.) port, so now I just skip most of those.

Man, going through the list of proxies sucks! Most of the ones I've found are either CoDeen or super duper slow. Grrr. Maybe it is worth it to pay.

Finding a good working proxy is tough work.

Wait, so you have a CoDeen addon for Firefox that changes your IP address?

Is it just like using a proxy?
