What's the point in asking for pure np?

I decided to check out the trading post the other day and from there go and look at certain people's shops/profiles and basically everyone with million np items states "pure only" or "pure np preferred".... now is it just me or is that silly? Because I'm fairly sure you'll never have any way of knowing whether it's pure or not until you're either iced or not.

If it was about trying not to get iced - putting on a show for TNT - I'd say something more elaborate about not wanting to take neopoints earned by cheating and refusing to deal with such people.

Or maybe that's silly too. I dunno. Any insight, anyone?

I'm not sure I get what you are saying. Pure NP means just NP instead of items. So when they say they want pure it means they want NP and not items.

Ya like MCheezie, it's just that people or asking for NPs, they don't want items, like me most of the times.
Pure doesn't mean legit NPs =P It just mean NPs and no items ^^
