I've heard lots of horror stories about the labray, and I only used it once today (got +2 str). Do you guys know what are the WORST things that can happen there?
There are plenty of stories about people zapping expensive pets only to have them turn basic, or accidental zappings of UC pets, but frankly anyone stupid enough to do that deserves the results. A while back though, xxxx told a funny story. He always liked to keep his pet a Darigan Eyrie, so he stopped zapping it for a long time. After a while he sniped a Darigan Eyrie morphing potion iirc, so he decided one or two zaps while he tried to sell the potion wouldn't hurt. That way he might get a couple extra HP and in the unlikely event that it did change, he had the potion to change it right back. First zap changed it into a yellow jubjub.
it can also decrease stats.. but yeah, the worst would be turning an expensive pet to a basic one.. so don't zap an expensive pet!
I think the worst is only getting gender changes for weeks at a time, knowing that you spent 800k on it. If you only zap a basic pet, you don't really have much to worry about.
Idk actually.... the worst thing ive gotten is a Pile of Sludge or basically just having your pets stats go down.
Basic color change when your pet's original color was rare :O Level 1 -lvls It's usually worth it, I think
I think the worst thing about the ray is that it unevenly raises stats, so that is harder to normally train the pet to even stats. Your strength could be 78 and your movement 20, and level 10. You have to level up to get all the stats to a good even level. But most people dont care I guess, as long as it turns a nice colour.
Most people don't particularly care about the uneven stats though because the ray is usually (after a long time zapping) very nice raising the important stats (hit points, defence & attack) and is only really evil with movement which has no purpose and levels which are also obsolete because using the labray evades the level/stat rule. The thing I find most frustrating is getting zapped to a pet I dislike entirely in every colour because I know I'll get stuck with it for ages (at the moment it's a green kyrii) but if I get too fed up I just buy an orange koi mp xD
if you just use the lab ray correctly like on lab rats nothing bad can really happen at all they usu have low enough level that a reset is insignificant, and you can choose to stop zapping if you acheve a desired color
