They can be ordinary picking, like, pick 1 prize out of 10, or pick a color of car you want out of three colors, what would you do?

Go with your gut feeling and decide

    or would you

Use methods like, close your eyes spin around and pick, or put numbers on pieces of paper and do a random draw / anything that requires you to choose at random

    PLEASE EXPLAIN FOR DISCUSSION!

For me i'd mostly go random because i'm so wishy washy, and i'm like what if the number / color I chose isn't what I want? But if I go random I can't really blame myself :yup:

I'd go for what feels the best. Just picking something random gives me a way worse feeling when I pick the wrong thing, I guess.. At least I made the choice myself that way'.

You had to pick something recently? :p

I usually go with what feels best. When I have any sort of choice like that, for some reason my brain always seems biased to one of the choices.

Choices are bad. They make me second guess myself. :D

But I'll usually go with whatever I feel like.

First I check if the Monty Hall paradox applies, otherwise I just go for my gut pick.

I would pick at random if I liked all of the choices, but if one really stood out to me that I liked I think I would most likely pick that color or whatever. If you just drew at random for some things you wouldn't get that great of a result.

It's really rare when I'm REALLY torn between multiple decisions, but in the rare cases that it does happen, I usually get advice from other people to see what they think.

When given a list of numbers to choose from, I normally go with prime numbers. Reason being that only my friends into math (math club, anyone?) ask to choose a number, and they tend to go for prime/other meaningful numbers.

Colors, I typically go for the most basic of my choices (closest to blue/yellow/red, or black/white if options). I try and keep things simple as a rule, and it has worked well so far.

I always go with my gut feeling. According to Quantum theory, the answer that you expect to be the best will likely be the best answer. Therefore, don't second guess yourself and go with your instincts. That's my philosophy.

I'd go random so it isn't in my hands. If it's random I'll have no frustration if I got a bad outcome.

If it's choosing between numbers, I'll usually pick a random number.
If it's between colors/otherwise, I'll pick whichever is my favorite/whichever I like better.

This topic makes me think of something similar...

While taking exams, let's just say a multiple choice question, which one from A to E do we usually choose
if we have completely no ideas on the correct answer? :)

For this kind of situation, i would pick up the last choice, which sometimes means the best choice.

I HATE the Monty Hall problem. I have a friend who doesn it so well with every possible choice that he has me make. I don't notice it until later. It's CRAP.

I make an intelligent decision. Usually. I guess that it falls under the "go-with-my-gut" category, but it's all about how you analyse the situation. If I'm told to pick a number between one and ten, I'll think about the person who's asking me and how their thought processes work. Then I'll make a decision based on what I know about how his or her mind operates. I really do overthink everything like that.

But I'm nearly always right. :)

Gosh... that's a really bad outlook on life -_- Assuming you just want to avoid blame, you're probably one of those people that are indecisive... and refuse to make decisions because you don't want to be wrong -_- You should ALWAYS go with how you feel. Whether it is a "gut" feeling or an intuitive selection, choices should be made by YOU and not by some otherworldly force. We make our own luck.
