I was watching some random biography on the History channel, and saw the guy writing with a quill. I thought that would be pretty badass, only problem is, I need to find a bottle of ink. Anyone know where I can get one?
Yeah. I think when I sit down to write for the first time with my quill, I'm going to want to put on a George Washington style wig. Maybe I'll buy one of those too.
get a couple ball point pens, take out the tube inside, cut it open, then let the ink inside flow out into a saucer. 8)
the ink has to be the right consistency, im not sure if ball point pen ink has the right thickness, but its the only way i can think of if you cant find any quill ink in shops
I doubt ballpoint pen ink cartridges would be able to flow out freely...it's very viscous. I'm pretty sure there is a select brand of ink you have to use if you choose to write with a quill. If I find anything out, i'll let you know.
This site sells ink wells, powderd ink, and paper for quill writing. They also have some information on how to write using a quill. Edit: This site is actually a bit better as it's dedicated to quill writing only.
Ballin... I'm going to buy this. Maybe I'll upload a video of my first time trying to write with a quill
Calligraphy ink can be purchased in the craft section of most Walmart stores. Barnes and Noble has an excellent calligraphy set that comes with pen, ink and book to teach you how. Otherwise, I'd hit up the local Hobby Lobby or Michael's.
I'm going to do that today. Luckily, I read your post before I bought it online. WalMart has it for cheaper (probably) and I can get it immediately.
Yea I probably will once I get used to writing with it. It's pretty hard. I went and picked up the supplies today at Walmart, so I'm practicing right now
Lol wtf? So random, but that's awesome, lol, that actually made me crack up, you're serious about this?
i could have sworn that some bookshops sell ink for that kinda stuff, like for proper calligraphy etc
