My guess is w/ the Mets. Unfortunately they will have to overpay for a guy who's giving up more hits every year and has a declining K rate.

Never thought about Zito being paired up w/ the Mariners. It wouldn't be too bad, since Safeco is a pitcher's park, but will the Seattle FO want to give Zito an albatross contract of $100 million for 6 years?

I thought the Yanks were the retirement home (Johnson, Moose, etc.) not the Mariners.

Hopefully he'll stay in the bay area and join the Giants, still a possibility as Sabean is interested in him

Well the Big Unit look like crap since he came to NY, Jaret Wright sucks (just got traded to Baltimore), Pavano looks like he won't return to 2004 form, Pettitte might do well but he's getting older, and Moose is alright. Some of the old guys on the Yanks are good and the others are crap. Too bad the Mariners paid big time for Beltre (we can call that deal offically a bust). The Sexson deal was alright.

Name a deal in the last 5 years, besides Ichiro and Ibañez, that WASN'T a bust.

35 homers arent worth almost 200 strikeouts and a .240 average.

    Jarrod Washburn...Fell through.
    Jeff Cirillo..oh man
    John Olerud
    Mike Cameron
    Ben Davis
    Joel Pinero
    Gil Meche
    John Mabry
    Rich Auriula
    Miguel Olivo
    Scott Spezio
    Quinten McCraken
    Yorvit Torrealba

    ect.

Lol maybe my definition of "average" is way too high. I was thinking of a sub 4 ERA for pitchers. But then it's the AL and ERAs are high over there.

I don't think he wants to move out of California unless he gets a really fat paycheck from the Mets or the Mariners.

I just hope the Mariners spend it. One less pitcher that dominates us, the better.

True. You wouldn't want him to end up at Texas or LA Angels.

Well if King Felix goes back to 2005 form, then Seattle will move up higher in the standings. Just need to get rid of that inconsistency.

What they need to get rid of is their front office/coaching staff.

Good players come here, and suck balls.

And then leave, and are good.

Bad players leave here, and are good.
