I know you may all laugh at this but it is something i have sat and thought about for a while now what are your views on it.

Eskimo's i have always wondered how they can give birth to a child in that weather, surely the sudden hit of freezing temperatures to them would take there breath away and kill them, also how do they manage to conceive the child when they live in a igloo surly making any child nude and in that weather condition would be very comfortable, not to mention freeze your special parts

can anyone enlighten me with the these answers as i would love to hear what people think, also would like to know if it mind boggles you also. :D

i guess they have adapted to the weather, or the second the baby is born it is wraped in blankets quickly

even in a hospital they have to use incubators to do that, if this is true why would they waste the money on them if they could just use blankets.

Im sure they could just use blankets, after all , children were being born 1000's of years before hospitals :p. And i imagine they give birth to them inside , or at least, away from the torrential snow.

    Re: conception.

If you think about it, the best thing to do if one is suffering from hypothermia is to climb into a sleeping bag with someone else who is naked, and share body heat.

Yes gil but what if they didn't have any chance of moving the woman from the torrential snow, it could be a sudden birth then what would happen. and as for the blankets why is our country's wasting money on incubators if we can use blankets, there are better things to spend money on if this is the case ;)

Only Americans. (even though your not american!)

They live in igloos or sometimes even houses.

How do you think they don't freeze to death in an igloo?

Its because it's warm in there. The igloo keeps all the heat in.

Haha Konvict, we probably don't need most of the incubators, but thats why most developed country's have a very low infant death rate.
And as Joe pointed out, they do have houses and shelters. And even if they didn't, think about the fact they are still living there, shows they must be able to reproduce. Same with any animal.

XD. Its warmer in an igloo than it is on the outside, hence how they manage to have those ice hotel places in Norway or wherever it is. Though , i do understand your point about trying to have sex in the cold :p.

    You're talking like Esquimos still live in igloos. o_O;
    You know they don't, right?
There might be some very far away lost tribes, but most of them live in normal houses now.
And people give birth in bad conditions everywhere in the world still.
Africans pops babies out like an ice maker and they probably do it in their little houses, I doubt they can afford hospitals or anything, and they still have a lot of babies surviving.
