Has any one here ever gotten a prize from the Wishing Well? Is there any way to take advantage of the wishing well, like donate at a certain time? How does it choose the winners? Does it randomly pick some from whatever pool of wishes it has after 18 hours?
Wishing well is completely random...i have read it in editorial sometime back.. But its better to work towards something you want than to wish and wait for the wishing well.. The chance of winning is very less!!
That's what I thought.. would be nice if there were certain times when if you wished it gave you what you wanted though.. And yes sadly it's true that it's better to work for it.. cutting corners is more fun though.
I never got a prize from the wishing well. Although I think there is a cheat where you donate x amount of np over and over again without actually donating... I can't recall it though. And there is no way. The wishing well picks out randomly a few users. Doesn't look at the amount you donated or when you donate it.
I prseume it has something to do with changing the address.. I just now checked when i donate the link is like.. http://www.neopets.com/wishing.phtml?thanks=1 If you just change the last number in that link to x(lets say any number)..the page says thank you for donating x neopoints.. But that x is not reduced from my np's on hand..
I doubt that would actually process anything though... On Wheel of Knowledge If you win a prize you can go to page source, change the prize to super attack pea. hen reload the page. You still don't win the super Attack pea, it just looks like it. I'd assume the wishing well "thanks" page would be the same thing.. It's not actually "processing" anything, just reloading with a different result.
Hmm. I noticed most of the prizes one day on the Wishing Well were Snorkle Snouts and Bags of Peanuts... Maybe it has something to do with what you wish for too?
i believe that the well doesn't give out items more than rarity 84..thats what i think though.. and yeah, the trick of changing the address doesn't register with neopet.. personally i have never gotten anything from the well..have donate maybe about a total of 10k-90k ?
