World Challenge

Anyone ever tried using a score sender to complete world challenges or would that be automatically detected and freezable?

 

That's a good idea. I think the POST request is the same, and the server just handles the request extra specially when you are entered in the WC.
It shouldn't raise the freeze rate THAT much (I think... I would need to check the actual POST requests to be sure).

I've never done the World Callenges so I have no clue, but I just entered one on my main, which I'm not willing to test this inquisition out on.. :lol:

 

Basically, I'm fairly certain the data that your computer sends to the Neopets servers is exactly the same regardless of whether or not you are entered in a WC.

 

It's probably fine as long as you don't have a ridiculously high score.
You may want to have a lot of variations to make it look the most real...

 

Hrm.. I'm at home now.. (was at cousin's house) so I'm gonna give it a try on one of my sides.. I'll let you guys know how it turns out..

 

It does send the request differently.
When you take a personal challenge (Bet a friend some NPs that you can get a higher score than them) it says to close your current game window, then re-open.

This is because the game changes; not only does it let you send your score an unlimited amount of times (For no extra NP, of course) - but it also sends it in a way that the server says "Yep, this is a challenge score. Put it in pile B" - where pile A is where scores are usually sent.

 

That's all fine and interesting, but the point of the question was only to see if you could get away with using a score sender to win world challenges, and you can... as long as you set the score and time at a reasonable amount, as per usual..

You can only win 3 pieces a day though? That's lame.. :lol:

 

I used Freestyles and almost had every piece of the Marawua WC but I got iced for AB

Does it look suspicious to use sides to get the map pieces and then transfer or gift them to my main?

 

I just did three a day on one account.

how do you start a world challenge thingy. do you have to buy all the maps or something?

 

They're like regular treasure maps. If you get a complete set, you can redeem a prize (you can get a rare PB from it)

Go to the game you want to enter for the WC. Scroll down until you see the game toolbar. WC is the third icon from the right (the globe)

 

as long you don't do it all the times and send unreasonable score that will be okay!

 

i do it all the time. never got frozen. well i did, but for a different reason

Not to challenge 'The Man'.. or woman in this case.. (I think? ) But I have a score sender but I didn't download it from neofriends.. just because someone has programs that aren't from this site doesn't mean they're spamming. The question wasn't about a specific program. :back:
