XBOX360 Ban hammer

    Has anybody been a victim of the current waves of the ban hammer on xbox. If so please specify firmware and drive and any info necessary?

    My friend got caught with a flashed disk drive.. I think he was doing an update or something, not really sure how :S He might have burned ODST and played it online before it wa released, idk :p

    Lots of people got MW2 super early and have been playing it for a week.. I'm excited to see all the bannings/suspensions personally :)

    i dont get why anyone would risk getting banned by using flash drives and modding your xbox. For me, the only reason i bought 360 was to play on live ... the games get old once you do the normal part of it. Live is just too fun.

    they will always catch people and ban them...its just a matter of time.

    I got banned yesterday. I didn't have MW2 I think they found a way to detect FW. I'll have one to play my backups and the other to play legit

    Yah, I too saw a bunch of people playing mw2 before it was released. Luckily, they reset ranks after it was officially released

    I've had about 5-10 friends who have been banned from their xbox for playing games early...

    there were people playing it before it was released? is that how they have killstreaks over 100 and 10th prestige already?

    I don't think Microsoft can detect the iXtreme firmware - I'm running 1.61, and I have my xbox disconnected from live whenever I use backup games. Whenever I use real games, like H3, I use live, and it's fine.

    So you might have forgotten to disconnect the Ethernet cable or something..
