Don't do it Johnny Depp is pretty good at acting but ... it just doesn't sit well with me alice in wonderland? lol chill
^^ Agreed. I was really excited to see it but I left it with a feeling of... eh. The special effects were cool and 3D is always fun to watch.. but the movie as a whole was a little boring to me. I was expecting it to have a lot more humor or other elements to it but the plot was a little blah.
exactly. And I'll admit the plot itself disappointed me a little just because of the concept in the first place. I thought it was uninspired
Yea I agree. Don't read the spoiler if you haven't seen the movie! I might give things away. Spoiler I was confused by the idea that she had already been there when she was younger and was basically going through the same exact story all over again years later? It just seemed weird.. or did I miss something? From what I understood, she had already been there when she was like 5/6 years old, slayed whatever that thing was called, and now was back 13 years later to repeat it all over again? Or was that scroll a calender of the past AND the future?
Haha yeah, I was forced to go see the movie, and I did, and to me, all it came across as was creepy. To me it was very disappointing, because if you have read the book, you understand the inaccuracies and the movies inability to represent some of the ideas accurately.
Spoiler She didn't fight the Jabberwock the first time she was there. My problem was that the whole movie was pretty much based on the poem that was, I assume, based on the book Johny Depp's character recites quite a bit of the poem in one scene, which would be very confusing for those who haven't seen it
Spoiler See that's why I was so confused because at the end when they were showing flashbacks of her first trip to Wonderland, everything else was exactly the same, like when she meets the Cheshire Cat, and at the Tea Party, etc. I've never seen the poem so maybe that's another reason why I was more confused then I should've been. *goes to look up the poem*
I just got back from the movies... I only watched the 2D version though.. (Avatar in 3d gave me crazy eyes ) It was better than I expected, a good movie. I really enjoyed it and once again, was a movie I didn't want to see but since I'm "whipped" got dragged along and hate to admit it, but liked it! I tend to agree with some of the above spoilers though
Alice in Wonderland appeals to me. Though it may seem weird and some-what wicked; this all makes for an epic movie. Haha. Johnny Depp ftw.
I'm really surprised you liked it. I think my problem was I hyped it up too much before I saw it. I was expecting too much so it let me down. And don't worry.. you're only "whipped" if you think you're whipped. Spin it around to being your choice to go because you like to make your gf happy and then you're just a good bf
I saw Alice in wonderland, personally i thought it was really good for a PG movie. Johnny Depp is great, as always. D;
hmm..i think the 1st time when she went there, she met the ppl/things/creatures there but that was it..the tea-drinking session for the 1st time, the land behind Johnny was still bright and sunny (some sort)..
