but you get destroyed by dual kbt

and not many people carry dual pcc in league 4, not many people carry dual pcc at all anymore due to the abundance of pteris

building a set to beat one option is stupid, you need to build a set to handle a wide variety of options, and an ftab will add that extra defense that jbr cant add, with the mass deflation of ttds you will see even less pccs

Lots of people used to carry dual PCCs around, wouldn't dual kBTs be risky since FTabs are common, I don't know many people with dual KBTs
Well to counter dual KBTs specifically, water breathing ability and an enchanted kiko squeeze toy thing can be used.

You *really* don't have to worry about dual KBTs
if you see them in your first battle, you can bring a 200k Enchanted Squeeze Toy, as Shawn mentioned, for the next battles, and their set is done for

im just saying that someone can easily alter their set to destroy a set that has absolutely no defense other than light and dark, enchanted kiko squeeze toy is a waste of a slot, if you have a set that has a slot available for an item with only one use your set isnt built properly

with a ftab and hcc you cover defense on most icon types, not to mention there is a full light block ability as well

jbr isnt widely used because it isnt an effective item, you dont run into a lot of light, anybody using dual pccs with no alternatives in 2p is an idiot, since how easy it to to get destroyed by species resistances

you also left out the fact that jbr cannot be unequipped and it is stuck on your pet forever

    lolol @ R+F
you should talk to n1n, he's a big fan of JBR

    now, I'm gonna give you a 'pro-tip':
the best BDers don't have an eight item set; they have a 12+ item set
because the most glorious battles are tournaments, and tournaments have you facing many people in multiple battles each, you can't just go with 'a set.' You're set has to be ready to be modified to tailor against your opponent. In the big wars, people don't just have 12-20+ items in their 'set,' they also have a bunch of MPs so they can morph to tailor to their opponent's weaknesses. With this in mind, an EKST is NOT a waste of a slot, and dual PCCs aint bad. If you're going against someone you know has dual KBTs from early battles, throw in the Squeeze Toy. You could even add it in if you're running a light/dark defense and you're afraid they might have KBT. And if, later in the tournament, you run into a scorchio (late freezers), a grundo (the best battler in the game runs one [with a multi-bil set]), or a lutari (they're pretty), your PCCs will tear through them. With this in mind, you should for sure have some PCCs laying around if you can afford them, as air and light are tough to block without species resistance.

In fact, arguing against PCC is almost like arguing against GSword, and who would want to deny the most penetrating weapon below 100mil?

I read "talk to n1n" and stopped reading

n1n is an idiot, and lacks any battling knowledge

oh and my set consists of over 20 items, including dual of nearly every ht level constant, but not everybody can afford a set like mine and are restricted to 8 items

n1n has inflated his ego every since Joe gave him an LWand :p
I think he was alright before that, and he definitely knew his stuff for low budget battling
    but he's weird now

I'm glad you have such an extensive set, but EKST shouldn't be so readily dismissed
even if you can only afford eight items, you just have to play games for, like, one week and you'll be able to afford EKST, which is REALLY cheap for a full blocker that blocks a common icon

UBOGJ is much more effective and still within an inexpensive price point, its definitely something i carry as one of my items in case i do run into kbts, i swap out an ftab if i know what im facing

    en1nub

Ok anyway I'm a huge fan of JBRs, they can be unequipped via transfer (and I have never lost a JBR, I've done this many times)

Clearly. Guys, how do you go in 2p wars? I'm in league 13 with a mostly HT set. I do pretty well, but then I face those guys with GoW and WoDF. Geez.

IStaffs go for 170 when they are QSed.

Commy those GoWs and WoDF battlers exist in every league. (I've met dual GoW+SuAP/SAP+WoDF in L4 and I was like WTf). The easiest way to join a 2P war is to join a BD guild and take part in their 1 to 1 inter-guild wars whenever organized or battle competitions within the guild itself.

I'm in a BD guild and have been in a few wars. It's not as fun competing against somebody whose set outmatches yours, especially when they get careless and nearly lose.

I haven't taken part in one lately though. It's a little frustrating to organize times to meet, and then wait one or two minutes for every move. I've had ones that have lasted over half an hour, which isn't cool.

Go for casual 2p fights with people on the BD Chat boards if you don't really want all the troublesome things

    KBT (Keep)
    KBT (Replace with GSword/SoWL)
    LEV (Keep)
    G-Shield (Keep)
    G-Bomb (Keep)
    H-Pot (Replace with another GBomb?)
    F-Pot (Keep)
    D! (Replace with TTear)

Higher than 70m but you can adjust accordingly. The GSword/SoWL is only after you get TTear since it would be an upgrade from D!.

Once you get enough, the next plausible upgrade could be FSS

I assume your stats are high enough such that you don't need to use the 1p opponent's strength though.
