Today I'll show the best equipments(in my opinion) for you, that's new on neopets.

    ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

    Scarab Ring
    cost: 1200~2000 NP

    Attributes:

    Good attack (6 icons)and deffence (6 icons).

    A cheap and powerful weapon.

    ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

    Ice Club
    cost: 70.000 NP

9 attack icons, a good weapon too. Perfect to 1-player battles, just use another 9 icons weapon to have a great offensive attack.

    ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

    Snowglobe Staff

    cost: 45.000 NPs

Can creates a Yellow Snowball, attack or freeze the enemy. Try to have another weapon with you, this can break during the battle(will be able to use it again in another battle)

    ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

    Sticky Snowball
    cost: 100 NPs

You can use only for 1 round, 11-15 attack icons, a very good one.

    -----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

    DownSize!
    cost: 8.000 NPs

You get only 50% of your opponent's attack.

    -----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

    Leaf Shield
    cost: 12.000 NPs

A great shield, good for earth enemies. (13 icons of def)

    ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

    Bronze Scorchstone
    cost: 8.000 NPs

Heal 15 points, you can only use it once in each battle.

    -----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

    Greater Healing Scroll
    cost: 35.000 NPs

From a battledomers point of view that's a pretty vague "guide". If you're going to write a guide for beginner sets at least include the types of icons specific weapons deal, as well as what shields do, etc. Even adding what a good strategy would be would be nice. Not trying to be a jerk, just saying what I think should be added.

Nice guide, even if its a bit undefined. Maybe try adding the fire muffin? I find that it works pretty well for my weak little bd pet XD, and its cheap, too. It has 12 icons: 4 fire, 4 light, and 4 physical, and its cost is only around 1.5k.

Decent starter guide i guess, but some cheap yet decent items such as the obsidian dagger etc weren't mentioned.

    Will help newbies though.

the snowballs are one use only, so when you use it it disappears for good

the downsize is also only 1 use per battle

What about the Purple Sticky Hand? I've been told it's pretty useful, but I'm a complete noob when it comes to BD...

    Lully,
Purple Sticky Hand is useful in soem fights.
I use it more for fun.
But agaisnt some challengers, you need to steal on the first turn
and Sticky hand doesnt do that ALWAYS
i wouldn't put itin a guide for begginers

Oh, I see... I didn't know that it could fail to steal.
Are the other coloured sticky hand any better?

No, sticky hands don't have a 100% rate steal. Lully, I'd keep it in for a beginners set because:
    - They're rated cheap (although getting slightly more expensive) for their stealing rate (around 50%)
    - If you need to steal on the first turn and it fails, you can always Status quit then restart again
    - The next alternative costs (green sticky hand) is UB
    - No reason not to own one until you can afford a better stealer (HRT)

Compared to the price of other weapons here, like Scarab Ring, it is more expensive.
You usually wont need to steal at this low level of battling, if your using Scarab Rings.
A 100% stealer is the only stealer i own/would ever own.
Finally, it is better for this low level of battling to use this extra spot as another constant or one use item, such as a sand snowball.

Thanks guys! I'm just helpless at BD... you should write a Complete Idiot's Guide to the Battledome!
Every guide I've read so far has been either too superficial or too advanced for me...

Well Lully, on the Neo BDChat thier is that BD Help Chat, that I think is really useful for newbies.
It explains alot about weapons, sets and just strategy.
