I read "The Savage Detectives" by Roberto Bolano. It was one of the best books I have ever read.

    I just read
    -thinks-
    IMPULSE
    yeah, that's it
it's this really sad story about 3 kids who all try to kill themselves, and all end up in the same institute.

It's well written, funny at times, and seriously thought provoking. A really good read, and not too long either

I liked reading a book called 'The lovely bones'. Its about this girl who got raped and killed, and she ascends to heaven, relating the experiences of her family after her death. It is a very touching book and I recommend you all the read it too.

A NZ book called Chinatown Girl. Pretty good, it won an award in NZ for one of the best books and the story looks from a china girl's diary perspective into life in WWII.
