Definitely not cheating. Just because you have a skill which your opponents don't doesn't mean that you're cheating. If we're all 'equal', we cannot have a winner.

Is someone who is more 'lucky' than the other cheating? Obvious not. Same concept.

I did basic card counting yesterday in casino, Just the basic +-1 or 0 depending on card and varied my bets depending on how high and low the count got. Nothing extreme was only on £2 - £100 table. But over the night I won just £90 after tipping the dealer 5 and paying 5 for two drinks :p so around about £100 profit in a night :)

(Lost £20 on poker earlier on - so £80 profit last night :D)

They can't exactly prove it if it's all in your head. People do have lucky streaks. One of my first few visits in a Casino in OK I put a bet on for 75 cents and won about $30 on the first machine, and bet a few dollars on another machine and after a few spins hit the cumulative jackpot for that set of machines for almost $1200. I did a few more small wins. I went into that casino with $20 and came out with $1350. I've visited dozens of times since with hardly any luck. If you can win like that on the machines, then you can be stupid lucky in cards, I'm sure. A guy sitting next to me in a small casino just outside of Tulsa won 3 grand right when he sat down. That depressed me a little. =p I almost sat there.

When they accuse you of card counting, do they take your winnings? Or do you keep your winnings and just leave?

defiantly not cheating. the casinos will call anything cheating if it increases your odds of winning.

I've never been accused of it, but I believe you're either forcefully thrown out of the casino and blacklisted, or you're politely asked to leave.

I would say card counting is a skill. If you have the memory to remember whats out and whats not, then cheating has nothing to do with it. You got brains, why not use em.

I don't think it's cheating. It's just getting good at a game. It's just a skill that makes you better at cards. Thats like saying MJ's fadeaway is cheating... ahah Idk much about basketball so that might not make any sense

I don't think card counting should be considered cheating because even without trying I can count cards, I mean in truth I'm sure the casinos use card counters for dealers. Any advantage you can get you should take because the casino already has I'm sure.

I don't see how its cheating.. I mean, it's a skill you have, they can't really prevent you from doing it right? oO
