In the modern day where quickness and efficiency is everything, I'd definitely say laptop. The portable nature of it makes laptops one of the most used electronic. Also, it is always easier to take laptops to repair shops compared to desktops. Although many people are starting to use iPads instead of laptops...
O and another thing that is good about a laptop is that is is very easy to hook up to your T.V. to watch netflix if you do not have a console, watch a movie you downloaded or play game and a huge screen! Too bad all my games are on my desktop so to play then I need to unplug everything. Bring it to the T.V. and hook it up.
I love that my laptop allows me work anywhere and at any time. I've written many a papers on the train; if I didn't have it I wouldn't be able to produce quality assignments whilst commuting.
Since I like to have the most screen space as possible, I prefer a desktop by far, but a laptop is convenient for "checking on things" or for making quick changes. I probably average about 20-30mins when I turn on my laptop, while I spend hours at a time on my desktop. When coding, I like to have several pages of code spread across my two 30" screens. After being used to that, a laptop just kinda leaves me wanting and annoyed.
Desktops are what I prefer. I like to dual screen and play games at the highest resolutions. Desktops make that easy by just installing a new graphics card, plus they are super cheap compared to laptop graphics of the same caliber. Although If price wasn't the issue I'd say laptop with an extra screen. that way you can take the laptop where ever and still have a BA gaming setup.
I miss having a desktop, but my laptop is quite easy to carry around and pretty good for games too (at least the ones I play)
I like laptops because I can drag them to the university and LANs with ease.. Would love a desktop for home purposes though.
I am a laptop man myself, the desktop is just to big and i hate that you can never bring it anywhere..laptops=freedom!
Laptops don't last as long as desktops, they overheat and the components go bad faster. Desktops or cheaper and if something ever goes wrong with your mouse, keyboard, speakers, monitor, etc you can just simply replace it. Unlike a laptop which you will most likely have to take somewhere and pay a huge fee to get fixed. Yeah laptops are more convenient, but desktops are more cost efficient.
Eh, It depends they both have different uses. Lap-tops are mainly used for school, business, casual gaming etc. I prefer a good old desktop because I am personally at my house a lot and I enjoy siting on a good comfy chair with a huge monitor in front of me .
