Do you actually feed your pet?

Neopets has made it very clear that pets cannot die, so feeding your pet(other than trying to get the gourmet club trophy) is ultimately useless and a waste of neopoints. That being said, do you spend the neopoints to feed them or put them into the noelodge?

 

to be honest, no. i only feed my BD pet, or if i have extra jellies or omelettes or other food i got from trades, i'll feed it to my BD pet, then, other pets if i have extra. other then my BD pet, i won't spend np on food for them.

 

you are right, they won't die but i do feed my pets to battle and for some reason i think a hungry pet makes your page refreshes a little slower then you rs so that is another why i feed them

 

hm... i've never heard of or noticed that before, but i'm going to try that. thanks for that bit of info. I've noticed similar things like that with other things on neo...

 

I put them in the neolodge, in cockroach towers or whatever the cheapest one is... They are always bloated and I never have to spend more than 300nps a month on them. I do play with them though, my pets are always Delighted!

I neolodge them too. It's cheap, easy, and you don't have to worry about it for another 30 days.

 

I only feed them so they won't have that sad expression on their faces. XD And the fact that I need to use them in the battledome too.

 

I don't actually feed my pets. I just exploit the fact that every once in a while the Healing Springs Faerie will feed them all for me. :lol:

I use Neolodge.

I just hate the look on their face when they're sad.

 

I feed them with omelettes, jelly and fish.

 

I put them in the NeoLodge. Or else if they get sad or hungry it could turn your pets color back to like blue and red. Dont want that to happen

 

I visit the healing springs for the free stuff which also keeps my neopet fed. As far as the hunger of your pet affecting the refresh rate, that's all in your head.

 

I put my pet in the neolodge, because i hate to see thier sad faces and i battle alot.

 

if you have a rare colour than it would be wise to feed them.. if you dont feed them their mood will be unhappy and if your pet is unhappy for a while there is a chance it could turn blue.. (although this is very rare.)

You have to feed your battledome pet if you plan on fighting.
I feed my bd pet and it gets hungry alot. It doesnt cost much either so its no real hassle to me.

 

As people have previously explained, you can put it in the neolodge at 5 np a day for 30 days and not have to worry about it, and then it's truly no real hassle to you.
