~Guide to IP Bans-how to avoid them and how to get rid of them~ The Snowman

This guide will give a little background on IP and IP Bans

First off you'll need a little knowledge of IP types

    1) Public/External IP: This is the IP you can get from websites like whatismyipaddress.com. Everybody sees this IP and this is the IP given to you from your ISP.

    2) Local IP: This is your computer special IP. It is mainly used for networking computers together. You can find this IP by going to Run>typing in cmd>then typing in ipconfig. It is the series of numbers under IP Address(obvious enough?)

There are also two types of External IP's

    1) Static- This means that your external IP will always stay the same and never change

    2) Dynamic- This means your IP changes usually when you unplug the power for your modem over-night and you should have a new IP in the morning.

To find out which kind you have go to Run>type in cmd>then type in ipconfig -all
Then scroll down until your see Dhcp Enabled. If it says yes, then you have a dynamic IP, which is the best to have when avoiding IP Bans.

~Easiest ways to get IP Bans

-Autobuying on an account for a very long period of time
-Autobuying on more than one account with the same IP
-Using any neopets program with the same IP on different accounts always increses your chance of getting IP banned

~How to avoid getting IP banned

-Use proxies!! Using proxies on different accounts makes it look like your two different people on your account
-Keep your Autobuying down to 2 hours or so. Thats plenty of time to atleast make 500k.
-After Autobuying for maybe a week or so delete that account to throw TNT off your trail. I usually do every two weeks and delete my account and im not frozen. To delete your account goto http://www.neopets.com/remacct.phtml. I've also heard that you can bring back that account to if you'd like. I've never tried it, but if someone has I'd be glad to hear the results.

~IP banned? Heres how to get rid of it

goto run> type in cmd> then type in ipconfig /release>turn off your comp>unplug your modem>wait a night and by the morning you should have a new IP. ~NOTE~*THIS CAN ONLY BE DONE WITH DYNAMIC IP's*

Hopefully this guide helps someone out there. It would've helped me when i got IP banned.

Well there is no 'thing' to get proxies to work. You just have to search and find good ones. Theres a bunch of proxy speed testers out there that you can use to see how fast and how good the proxies are.

proxies dont slow you down that much, it really depends on your internet speed.

Most do yes, thats why you have to find fast ones, which could be hard to do

Static is usually for business or people who run servers. If you want a dynamic IP you should probably call your ISP then and ask for a switch. Not sure how much it'll cost though

Darn, I have a static proxy. Is there any way to get a Dynamic one?
And my ISP (Etisalat of the UAE) has banned all of the proxy server sites, so I cant get them.
ABing will be very hard for me. :(
