I played the Japanese version and it brings back great memories. If you played the old gbc versions, you'll go through the new game going "hey i remember this!" lol
Of all the Pokemon series, I always choose water Pokemon as my starter. I hate using HM slave and those pesky HMs, dive, whirlpool, waterfall, except surf. In HG/SS, I choose Cyndaquil because he's awesome.
