I don't think Cowher will make a large impact as others think. Personally, they will most likely make it to the playoffs next year with or without Cowher. They just had a fluke season this year. It won't happen again next year.

i bet they dont make playoffs next year there team isnt good enough and they need very good coaching and that is what cowher offered and now they dont have it..on top of that he's been there for the past 15 years so some of the players have never had another coach in the NFL so its gonna be weird when he leaves...there record will be worse next year for sure

i doubt it, if he comes back he'll probably have lost his touch and will just be all washed up and only last 1 year

how can you doubt that..he made a statement he is only takin time off for his family and to rethink gameplans and he will return..he even said so himself so he's def. coming back and he will get a fat check

nah man... there arent any flukes in football, the steelers flat-out sucked... w/o jerome bettis they are/were useless. I don't see them going to the playoffs w/o bill cowher

i was shocked. he has been so successful as the steelers head coach, and its sad that he quit.
