Ok first of all this will work for almost any photo editing software. You will just need to find the right file. 1.) Find a font, brush or texture you wish to use. I downloaded some splatter brushed the other day for a graffiti project I was working on There are many sites that have free fonts and brushes and textures all around the web. 2.) Once the file is downloaded extract them and it will let you choose where to extract them too. now then go to you your 'C' drive>users>(your usernamefiles>gimp(whatever version your have). 3.) Once you hit the gimp file you will have folders labelled (brushes, curves, fonts, etc.) Now then just click the appropriate folder and extract the file to it. (if its a font select font file, If it's a brush select brushes file) Then open/re-open gimp and your new font/brush/texture, or really anything will be available. Hpoe this helps!
Heres the one I use. Very good free fonts, as many as you could possibly want xD..... http://www.1001freefonts.com/ As for brushes I use this site - http://stylishwebdesigner.com/2000-free ... designers/ Deviant art is host to many textures and brushes but this site is like the yellowbook page to them. Has categories for each brush type and a link to the download page. Now then for textures the site http://qtextures.net/ is godly. Has amazing textures and all you do is find on you like and download. After downloading all these feel free to follow the tutorial above and create your masterpiece! If you have any questions/comments just post or pm!
