I am looking for free photo editing software.......o_O

    i am looking for something like photoshop but free :)
    i am trying to make some cool looking banners and things with cool text
    any suggestions and i cant pay :( :(

    If you've never used Photoshop before, then The GIMP is an excellent alternative.

    Almost everything you can do in PS can be done in GIMP. There are even many features in GIMP that PS doesn't have.

    Yea I prefer Gimp over PS, mainly because I was brought up in graphics using GIMP, its a great program and I would suggest it but Zer0 got there first. As always.

    If you're used to Photoshop, you could try GimpShop. Its just GIMP with a Photoshop user interface (if you use Windows, you might prefer this because GIMP spawns many windows).

    ok thnx i will try tht instead cos am a xp user :) just bout to download :p
    i have never used any of this type of software b4 i just wanna make banners etc :)

    edit: i am not keen on gimpshop so i am going to uninstall it and try just plain gimp.... do u know of any good guides?

    EDIT: FFS!! i just found photoshop in my pc o_O :lol:

    You could also download limewire or any type of downloading program and search for anyone with adobe photoshop. Its free and sometimes you could find a cracked version.

    Im glad you found your photoshop thoe. I just thought id post this in case you deleted it again or someone else was wondering :)

    I wouldn't recommend getting it through Limewire.
    There is usually a 80% chance it contains a virus.
    VERY Risky!

    it wasnt photoshop it was a photo enhancer with same name lol
    i downloaded gimp and i love it!!

    Go on google & type GIMP. That's also an art software jsut like phtoshop but a bit confusing just look for its tutorials on google.

    Yeah, I use GIMP, but i've used Photoshop, cleaner interface on Photoshop, more cool stuff on Gimp. I rest my case.

    Yeah the Gimp is pretty much the only free software however it's very less powerful then alot of Adobe products even the older ones http://www.gimp.org/downloads/

    I downloaded photoshop, paiter x and corel draw on ares, and i never had any virus, well, one or two alerts, but that beacause i was stupid and oppened keyloggers ¬¬
    A good and easy freeware is photofiltre , i used to use it before i get photoshop and the others...

    It has loads of freeware image editing. However, a big add pops up when you load the site. Still, you can click the first letter of most of the links, and get more info there.

    a good program to use to download other than limewire is frostwire...its basically limewire with maximum virus protection...ive used it for 3 years and still havent encountered a virus
