Re: Have you heard of Google Chrome?

Well, I think the idea was to take the good things about Safari and include it with the browser. But since they are both Gecko based, I think the designers had the point of view of "let's take that browser and do something with it" instead of "let's create a new browser and see what Gecko has to offer us as far as usability". The Chrome browser was/is a good idea in theory. Google is STILL one of the few businesses that bases most of what it does on user feedback alone. Since they listen to feedback and actually try to adapt to what the public wants, I look forward to seeing what the next version holds. The browser itself made some GREAT breakthroughs which the average user never hears about, such as being the first browser to include new standards that will be implemented in HTML 5, hopefully doing away with our Flash problems (which anyone who goes to Neopets on a regular basis or plays games there from time to time will admit we HAVE to do something about those resource hogs!!), as can be seen here.

My point is, say what you want about it, it really was a breakthrough and, even though I myself won't even use the browser, it has a LOT of potential. Now let's concentrate on getting away from the Safari feel, keep it simple, improve on privacy policies, work on streamlining the resources it uses, and keep adding features that won't hog resources.

That's my take on the browser...if anyone was interested ;) :nope: ;)
